Container Operations

MHA provide all container handling operations including loading on vessel, discharging from vessel, shifting to exam area, stripping/stuffing, X-Ray scanning, cross-stuffing etc. These operations are supported using specialized equipments planned and monitored by Terminal Operating System (Navis SPARCS and EXPRESS).

RORO Operations

MHA has 2 multi-purpose berths for RORO/break-bulk Operations. Loading and discharging of RORO units are recorded using Teklogix Mobile equipped with barcode scanner. The barcode on the unit and driver id is scanned. The Mobile Application on the device verifies the vehicle identification number (VIN) against the manifest. This use of advance technology ensures accuracy, avoid delays and expedite RORO operations.

Rail Operations

MHA Terminal has three rail tracks (1000m x 3) and rail stacking area beside the tracks for Rail Operations. All Riyadh bound import containers after discharging are directly shifted to Rail Stack, where they are finally loaded on the train.

Empty Storage at NDA

MHA also supports storage of Import empty returned containers. Ship Agent can request the loading back of the empty containers on Vessel.

CFS Operations

MHA has a dedicated area for CFS operations. LCL containers are shifted to this area where they are stripped, examined by Customs, and delivered to Consignee trucks.

Integrated Services With Bonded Zone (SDES)

MHA provides integrated bonded zone in Dammam Port at Saudi Development & Export Services for warehouses, open storage, container zone & auto zone.
